It all started in March 1997, in Melbourne, Australia.
This long voyage, filled with emotion and excitement.
From fierce competition with Goodyear to the proud position of
supporting Formula One for many years as sole supplier.
And of course, the on and off battles with our eternal rival, Michelin.
It was a voyage that ended for us with the final race of 2010 in Abu Dhabi.
Hiroshi Yasukawa, Director of Bridgestone Motorsport, summed up an era:
"F1 let us build irreplaceable relationships of trust with so many people."
Hirohide Hamashima's eyes still sparkle when he recalls his favourite race:
"That was the 2000 Belgian Grand Prix, with the close fight between Schumacher and Hakkinen."
These two men, and all the engineers and staff who took part in the project,
came to Formula One driven by their indomitable Bridgestone spirit.
