12時間30分が経過する頃、#37 BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM (BMW, BS)が12回目のピットイン。1分29秒のピット作業でトップのままピットアウト。その後方では2位の#1 YARTと3位の#12 Yoshimuraの差が1秒2まで縮まる。12時間38分経過時点の453周目に#12 Yoshimuraのブラックが1分35秒963とファステストラップを更新。#12 Yoshimuraが#1 YARTの真後ろに迫り、#1 YARTが13回目のピットインを行なう間に#12 Yoshimuraが2位に浮上。#12 Yoshimuraは12時間45分経過時点で13回目のピットインを行ない、コースに戻るが、約5分後にトラブルにより緊急ピットイン。約6分の作業で再びコースに出ていく。この間に#11 KWTが3位浮上。
13時間経過時点のトップは467周を回った#37 BMW。2周差の2位に#1 YART、2位と3周差の3位に#11 KWTが続く。#12 Yoshimuraは3位と14秒差の4位、#76 AUTORACE UBEはトップと6周差の5位と、ブリヂストン勢がトップ5をキープ。#5 F.C.C. TSR HONDA France (Honda, BS)は序盤の転倒から追い上げ、トップと34周差の24位で周回を重ねている。
After 12 hours had passed, just after 12 hours and 10 minutes, the #11 KAWASAKI WEBIKE TRICKSTAR (Kawasaki, BS), which had been running in fourth place, made its 12th pit stop. #76 AUTORACE UBE RACING TEAM (BMW, BS) moved up to fourth. #11 KWT exited the pits and began chasing #76 AUTORACE UBE with a gap of about 34 seconds. After 12 hours and 15 minutes, the gap between #1 YART Yamaha Official EWC Team (Yamaha, BS) and #12 YOSHIMURA SERT MOTUL (Suzuki, BS), who were battling for second place, shrank to about 5 seconds. Gregg Black continued to lap in the 1:36 range, and Noriyuki Uramoto of #76 AUTORACE UBE also recorded laps in the 1:36 range.
Around the 12 hour and 30 minute mark, #37 BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM (BMW, BS) made its 12th pit stop. With a pit work of 1 minute 29 seconds, they exited the pits still in the lead. Behind them, the gap between second place #1 YART and third place #12 Yoshimura narrowed to just 1.2 seconds. On lap 453, at 12 hours and 38 minutes, Black of #12 Yoshimura set a new fastest lap with 1:35.963. #12 Yoshimura closed right up behind #1 YART, and during #1 YART’s 13th pit stop, #12 Yoshimura moved up to second. #12 Yoshimura made its 13th pit stop at 12 hours and 45 minutes, rejoining the race, but about five minutes later made an emergency pit stop due to trouble. After about six minutes of work, they rejoined the track. During this period, #11 KWT moved up to third.
At the 13-hour mark, #37 BMW was leading with 467 laps. #1 YART was second, two laps behind, and #11 KWT was third, three laps behind second place. #12 Yoshimura was fourth, 14 seconds behind third place, and #76 AUTORACE UBE was fifth, six laps behind the leader, meaning Bridgestone-equipped teams continued to occupy the top five. #5 F.C.C. TSR HONDA France (Honda, BS), after recovering from an early crash, was running in 24th place, 34 laps behind the leader.
