Results Update: 2026 FIM EWC Round 3 Suzuka 8 Hours - Night Practice

午後6時30分から60分間の予定でナイトプラクティスが始まった。コカ・コーラ鈴鹿8時間耐久レースでは、FIM EWCへレギュラー参戦していないチームも多く出場する。そのため、タイヤや車体など各メーカーは垣根を越えて連携し、各チームへより速く、安全なマシンを提供できるよう協力体制を築いている。また、このセッションではセーフティーカーの訓練も実践されるなど、大会運営側もより安全なレース開催に向けた最終確認を行った。
今年は例年よりも約1カ月早い今年の開催となったこともあり、例年よりも明るいコンディションでのナイトフリープラクティスが実施された。
セッションは開始から40分を過ぎた頃、コース上にオイルが広がるアクシデントが発生。赤旗が提示され、そのままセッション終了となった。トップタイムを記録したのは# 21 YAMAHA FACTORY RACING TEAM(Yamaha, BS)で2分04秒973。このセッション唯一の2分04秒台をマークした。2番手は# 99 Elf Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99(Yamaha, BS)、3番手には# 37 BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM(BMW, BS)と続いた。
明日はいよいよトップ10トライアルが開催される予定。トップ10トライアルへ進出しないチームにとっては、午後1時から行なわれる45分間のフリープラクティスが決勝前最後の走行機会となる。
天候が刻々と変化しやすい鈴鹿では、コンディションへの対応も重要なポイントとなる。明日は前夜祭やトークショーも予定されており、レースウィークは今日以上の盛り上がりを見せそうだ。

Night Practice began at 6:30 p.m. for a scheduled 60 minutes. At the Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours, many teams that do not regularly compete in the FIM EWC also take part. Accordingly, manufacturers across areas such as tires and chassis work together across organizational lines to help provide each team with faster, safer machines. This session also included safety‑car drills, with the organizers conducting final checks aimed at staging a safer race.
Because this year’s event is being held about a month earlier than usual, Night Free Practice took place in brighter conditions than in past years. A little over 40 minutes after the start, an incident left oil on the track; the red flag was shown and the session ended there. The #21 YAMAHA FACTORY RACING TEAM (Yamaha, Bridgestone) set the fastest time with a 2:04.973—the only lap in the 2:04s in this session. Second was the #99 Elf Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 (Yamaha, Bridgestone), followed by the #37 BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM (BMW, Bridgestone) in third.
Tomorrow will see the Top 10 Trial. For teams not advancing to the Top 10 Trial, the 45‑minute Free Practice from 1:00 p.m. will be the final track time before the race. At Suzuka, where the weather can change quickly, adapting to the conditions will be crucial. An eve festival and talk shows are also scheduled for tomorrow, and race week looks set to be even more vibrant than today.
